Nasir Jamshed, who’s the previous Pakistan opener batsman, and one more man have been caught in the UK in connection to the current investigation into supposed corruption in the PSL (Pakistan Super League). The NCA (National Crime Agency) reveal a comment on Tuesday saying that it was “working closely” with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption units and that both men had collected bail.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) statement said: “Two men in their thirties have been caught by National Crime Agency officers in relation with bribery offences as part of a fresh investigation into international cricket match spot-fixing. The men were arrested on Monday 13 February and have been reveal on bail until April 2017 pending further inquiries. As part of the ongoing investigation we are working closely with the Pakistan Cricket Board and International Cricket Council’s anti-corruption units. The Pakistan Cricket Board has launched its own investigation which has resulted in the suspension of three players.”
